Warranty

Frog.ee (Frogest OÜ) is an intermediary in providing a manufacturer's warranty, related to the sold item.
The warranty gives the buyer the right to demand free repair or replacement of the item during the warranty period.
The guarantee is only valid within the territory of the Estonian Republic.

Legal entities are offered a warranty for 1 year from the date of transfer of the goods.

Examination – an examination carried out by the frog.ee service department (in some cases, also by the item importer company) to determine if there is a defect in the item and the reasons for its occurrence.

The warranty includes construction defects, manufacturing and material faults, as well as the expenses, related to the fixing of the defects caused to equipment as a result of these defects.

The warranty period begins after the item is transferred to the buyer and is valid until the end of the period established by the manufacturer of the item.

The following warranty terms and conditions:

  • warranty for laptop batteries – 6 months
  • warranty for additional computer equipment, as well as for equipment manufactured according to a special order when buying a computer or with a later addition – 12 months
  • warranty for external equipment (printers, scanners, keyboards, mice, etc.) and for separately purchased parts – 12 months
  • the document, confirming the validity of the guarantee for the purchased goods is the invoice and/or purchase receipt
  • Electrolux and AEG products have a warranty of up to 6 months for legal entities

WARRANTY DOES NOT APPLY TO:

  • floppy disks, CD/DVDs, packaging, documentation, supplies, licenses, software and installation tools;
  • equipment malfunctions caused by its accidental or intentional damage by the user;
  • equipment malfunctions caused by a change in its technical characteristics, that was caused by a person not certified by the manufacturer or a service company;
  • operational failures caused by violation of the operating instructions of the item;
  • failures caused by software;
  • cleaning of the equipment;
  • when using equipment for training;
  • equipment malfunctions caused by the use of equipment in inappropriate environmental conditions. This also includes computer parts that the client or third parties mistreated;
  • equipment failures caused by a thunderstorm or some other natural phenomenon (force majeure);
  • failures caused by connecting a computer or other equipment to an improper voltage network (including a voltage network without grounding);
  • malfunctions in the operation of the equipment caused by the interconnection of energized equipment;
  • failures caused by software installed in the equipment by the client;
  • computer malfunctions caused by client’s non-compliance with the parameters, set by the manufacturer in relation to computer components;
  • on goods and parts, with damaged, replaced or removed serial numbers, control stickers or markings.

FROGEST OÜ IS NOT RESPONSIBLE:

  • for the safety of information, contained in the equipment brought for repair, also if during the warranty repair the data or software in the computer was damaged.
  • for non-elimination of defects in case the defect was not revealed during the warranty repair and its detection was not registered while transferring the item for warranty repair.

During the item’s warranty period, guaranteed by the manufacturer/seller, the customer may file a claim to Frogest OÜ regarding circumstances that hinder the proper use or storage of the item, which are caused by defects in the item’s quality. Settlement of consumer claims is carried out in accordance with applicable legal acts.

The claim should be filed in Estonian and, if possible, with clearly described deficiency revealed in the item.

A consumer claim is not subject to review if Frogest OÜ proves that defects in the use of the item arose because of the consumer.

Frogest OÜ is obliged to examine or, if necessary, to order an independent examination to determine the causes of defects in an item. If the examination shows that the part is in order or the guarantee does not apply to the defect, then the client has to cover all costs, related to the examination.

The costs related to equipment brought unreasonably for warranty service (if the malfunction is not caused by a defect on the part of the manufacturer or the warranty conditions of the product are violated) are paid by the buyer (valid only if 6 months have passed since the transfer of the item to the consumer).

In this case, Frogest OÜ has the right to charge the customer for work performed by that time according to the current service price list.

Warranty replacement. If it is impossible to repair the item, or its production is discontinued, Frogest OÜ reserves the right (regarding the client) to replace the item with equivalent one.

An item, replaced during the warranty period is issued with a new warranty with the same period as the original warranty.

In case if the equipment is repaired during the warranty period, the warranty is extended for the duration of the repair.

In addition to the rights arising from the warranty conditions, you also have other rights under the law.
